To mark the 11th anniversary of the Papal encyclical on the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation on 1-September 2026, Pope Leo has published the following message -

The Season of Creation is a time of ecumenical celebration that runs each year from 1-Sept to 4-Oct. The theme from 2026 is Living Water (eg see John 7:37-39). All are welcome to these events.

9.30am Sunday 20-Sept – Under the Cherry Tree annual ecumenical prayer celebration of sustainability at the Holy Roundabout, Wear a hat and bring a plate. Convened by Holy Cross Anglican and St Margaret's Uniting Church communities with participation from Blackfriars Catholic parish. June to 18-Oct - the National Gallery is exhibiting its tapestries of the late Arthur Boyd’s spectacular impressions of 800 year old stories from Assisi.
